Esto es algo que se debe rechazar y repudiar, puesto que como comentó la gente de ASDRA, “La utilización de la palabra mogólico como insulto es discriminatoria ya que tiene su origen en las primeras descripciones médicas que se hicieron acerca de las personas con síndrome de Down, por la forma habitual de los ojos de quienes tienen esta condición.”
Es triste el accionar de Scola, es triste Scola, porque sólo una persona de tristeza moral puede accionar como lo hizo. Porque no sólo insultó a la concejal Guehenneuff, insultó a quienes padecen Síndrome de Down, a sus familias, a sus amigos, porque el tener Síndrome de Down no es una enfermedad, es tan sólo una característica.
Hay una campaña que se viralizó en internet que apunta a mostrar como las personas con Síndrome de Down viven el día a día como cualquiera que no tiene el Síndrome, lo puede ver en www.downeate.com concejal Scola.
Le recomiendo que la vea, ahí verá personas que estudian, trabajan, ríen, se divierten, son felices. Le recomiendo que lo haga, quizás lo ayude a ser más feliz.
O que se acerque un día a ver a quienes construyen Zárate Integra, y vea como los chicos se integran a través del deporte, porque como ellos dicen, y yo también digo, “Somos tan distintos e iguales”.
Cuando comencé estas líneas, que tanto me cuestan escribir porque la impotencia y la bronca le ganan a la creatividad, decía que cuando Scola trató de mogólica a Irene Guehenneuf, pretendió agredirla y cuestionar su intelecto, pero en realidad, se autoagredió y demostró cuál es su intelecto.
Sus acciones lo definen, concejal. Las de quienes llevan adelante el proyecto de Zárate Integra, también.
Yo estoy con ellos, con quienes creemos que se puede integrar y construir a partir de la diferencia y no agrediendo. Junto a quienes creen que tener Síndrome de Down es una condición y no una enfermedad.
Y además estoy del lado de Santiago, mi amigo, que tiene Síndrome de Down, y que no merece que un pobre tipo como usted utilice su condición, su capacidad diferente, como una agresión.
Ojalá recapacite y pida disculpas, la concejal Guehenneuff, Santiago y tantos otros lo merecen.
